Always Has A Sweater On

I noticed that I haven't posted in over a month, and am about to feel the shame that come from being moved down to "Missing And Presumed Dead Blogs" on Steve's sidebar. Although I really haven't been in a writing mood lately though, being far more wrapped up in reading other peoples blogs, and following SU elections, I figure i shoudl save Steve the effort and keep this active-ish.

Now that I have virtually all of my CD's ripped to my hard drive now (although I still can't find my copy of 40 Licks), I've gotten into a mix CD making mood, in order to keep my good CD's out of my car stereo, which seems to eat them for breakfast. Also, my good pal Cole asked me for some song picks for a disc HE was burning, which was rapdily filling up with the same shit being overplayed on the radio. So, trying to pick artists and/or songs he wouldn't have heard much of, especially recently, I quickly ended up with too many picks to flesh out his cd and decided I'd just burn a CD for him myself. Of course, after having formulated the Mix, I realized that my CD burner is in Westlock, in my sister's computer. When she left, she thought she migh tuse it, and I , not having a working PC at the time, gave it to her. Stupid, stupid. She ain't burnt a one, and now I'm hooped. Well, anyways, here's the tracklist, that I've got going, and will burn for Cole as soon as I can.

Now, it's been a while since I last made a mix CD, so it's not as good as it could be, as I really didn't ahve any clear thesis. I just picked songs that I've listened to fairly frequently lately, that Cole would like. Mixing it up has kind of struck a chord though, and I've already started on a redneck road trip mix and a Lethbridge summer mix, tentatively titled Highway To Hanna and Firestarter: Music To Torch Coulees By , respectively.
